Introduction-Hi my name is Cole Hornbeck and i am doing a research report on 3 holocaust events. 1-Battle of the Bulge
2-Israel is established
3-Atlantic charter is signed
The battle of the bulge was the most critical in these 3 major events because the battle of the bulge was for freedom.

Israel is Established

Israel was not intanted to be established for anybody.Israel was established to be a jew union where all jews were free.Israel was established on May 15,1948. Is rael was established to give every jew the abuility to migrate to israel.

The Law of Return (1950) is the cornerstone of the Israeli Nationality Law (1952. This was one of the only laws the jews had to follow.And yet, by every conventional criterion, the state of Israel is a theocracy.The term \\\\\\\'Israeli\\\\\\\' and \\\\\\\'Jew\\\\\\\' are not coterminous.Israel was established as a Jewish state. It was not intended as a state for all of its citizens, Jews and non-Jews alike. Rather, it was primarily envisaged as a state for Jews, that is, a state of which every Jewish individual throughout the world would be a potential citizen. Thus, when the state was unilaterally established on 15 May 1948, it became imperative for its legislative body, the Knesset, to define in law those persons who would qualify as actual or potential citizens, and those who would be excluded - that is, non-Jews in general, and Palestinian Arabs in particular. This was done without undue delay. In 1950 the Israeli Knesset passed two laws: the Law of Return, defining the boundaries of inclusion (\\\\\\\'every Jew has the right to immigrate into the country\\\\\\\') and the Absentee Property Law, defining the boundaries of exclusion (\\\\\\\'absentee\\\\\\\'). Under these laws, every Jew throughout the world is legally entitled to become a citizen of the state of Israel upon immigration into the country, while some two million people, the 1948 Palestinian Arabs and their descendants, who were exiled as a consequence of the 1948-9 and the 1967 wars,

Thus, each Israeli Jew has a shadow: the Palestinian Arab refugee of 1948. Israeli Jewish homes are built on the ruins of their homes. Israeli Jews cultivate their land. All the jews were considered rebels.http://www.historyplace.com/worldwar2/timeline/atlantic-chart.htm

Battle Of The Bulge

The 106th Infantry Division, in place on a salient jutting out into Germany were hit with full force. After three days of battle. After 3 days 81,000 American casualties and23.544 captured and worst 19,000 killed in the field of battle.

On a wintery mid-December day in 1944, three powerful German armies plunged into the semi-mountainous, heavily forested Ardennes region of eastern Belgium and northern Luxembourg. Their goal was to reach the sea to trap four allied armies, and impel a negotiated peace on the Western front. The germans were trying to surprise the American soldiers this did not work this may have been the biggest regret for the Germans (Nazis).The coldest, snowiest weather “in memory” in the Ardennes Forest on the German/Belgium border.

· Over a million men, 500,000 Germans, 600,000 Americans (more than fought at Gettysburg) and 55,000 British.

· 3 German armies, 10 corps, the equivalent of 29 divisions.

· 3 American armies, 6 corps, the equivalent of 31 divisions.

· The equivalent of 3 British divisions as well as contingents of Belgian, Canadian and French troops.

· 100,000 German casualties, killed, wounded or captured.

· 81,000 American casualties, including 23,554 captured and 19,000 killed.

· 1,400 British casualties 200 killed.

· 800 tanks lost on each side, 1,000 German aircraft.

· The Malmedy Massacre, where 86 American soldiers were murdered, was the worst atrocity committed against American troops during the course of the war in Europe.

· My division, the 106th Infantry Division, average age of 22 years, suffered 564 killed in action, 1,246 wounded and 7,001 missing in action at the end of the offensive. Most of these casualties occurred within the first three days of battle, when two of the division’s three rehttp://www.aish.com/literacy/concepts/Star_of_David.asp
giments was forced to surrender.

· In it\\\\\\\'s entirety, the “Battle of the Bulge,” was the worst battles- in terms of losses - to the American Forces in

John Kline was captured on 19 December, 1944. He was the commander of the U.S military. He was fighting for the rights of the jews and hopeing to end the dreaded holocaust.

Atlantic Charter Signed

This was known as the U.N Decloration because it freed the seas during world war II.This charter was a declaration for the holocaust because it gave the jews the abuility to leave.

If the charter was not signed then nazis would of been able to transport jews and kill them illegally.

This charter was signed by egor howell of germany. Egor saved thousands of lives we dont even know.

First, their countries seek no aggrandizement, territorial or other;

Second, they desire to see no territorial changes that do not accord with the freely expressed wishes of the peoples concerned;

Third, they respect the right of all peoples to choose the form of government under which they will live; and they wish to see sovereign rights and self government restored to those who have been forcibly deprived of them;

Fourth, they will endeavor, with due respect for their existing obligations, to further the enjoyment by all States, great or small, victor or vanquished, of access, on equal terms, to the trade and to the raw materials of the world which are needed for their economic prosperity;

Fifth, they desire to bring about the fullest collaboration between all nations in the economic field with the object of securing, for all, improved labor standards, economic advancement and social security; http://www.internet-esq.com/ussaugusta/atlantic1.htm

Sixth, after the final destruction of the Nazi tyranny, they hope to see established a peace which will afford to all nations the means of dwelling in safety within their own boundaries, and which will afford assurance that all the men in all the lands may live out their lives in freedom from fear and want;

Seventh, such a peace should enable all men to traverse the high seas and oceans without hindrance;

Eighth, they believe that all of the nations of the world, for realistic as well as spiritual reasons must come to the abandonment of the use of force. Since no future peace can be maintained if land, sea or air armaments continue to be employed by nations which threaten, or may threaten, aggression outside of their frontiers, they believe, pending the establishment of a wider and permanent system of general security, that the disarmament of such nations is essential. They will likewise aid and encourage all other practicable measures which will lighten for peace-loving peoples the crushing burden of armaments.
